Gospel: Luke 10:1-11, 16-20
Sermon Title: "How Do You Measure Success?"
Theme:
Jesus appointed seventy-two to go two by two into every town and place where He was about to go. He said the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. That was a long time ago but we know that's also true of today's world as well.
It is probably as difficult today as it has ever been to witness to the Gospel. And it is kind of puzzling as to why that is. We are probably freer to do so today than ever before. I don't know of any laws that prevent us from sharing the Word. We aren't being persecuted like the early Christians were. We have more resources available to us today than we have ever had before. We are the ones that make it difficult. But Christ calls us into the same discipleship as those first followers were called. We must go out and touch others because there are people out there who are in great need of Christ.
