Gospel: John 1:43-51 (This sermon will also be based on Psalm 139)
Sermon Title: "Who Really Knows You?"
Theme:
It is probably safe to say that most of us have had the uncomfortable experience of meeting up with someone from our past whom we recognize but unfortunately they didn’t recognize us. It is pretty easy to get lost in today’s world of fierce activity and mass communication. We are preoccupied with our many responsibilities and we meet and talk with so many people in our life time, that it is easy to forget people from our past. But the good news that I want to share with you this morning is that God never forgets who we are! And Psalm 139 reminds us of that.
What does it mean that the Lord knows you? Before you can begin to answer that question you have to know something about the God who made you. You need to understand what it means to say that only God knows himself fully and that all things that exist and all things that happen are known to God. We need to understand what God is like and what it means to be created in His image.
